De twee zusterschepen zijn Star Clipper en Star Flyer terwijl de Royal Clipper het vlaggenschip is.

De AidaPerla is zojuist vertrokken van Singapore en vaart langs de Southern Islands van Singapore.

De AidaPerla is in 2017 gebouwd in Nagasaki en deed voor de eerste keer Singapore aan.
Het is de bedoeling dat het schip volgend jaar de cruises van het zusterschip AidaPrima overneemt
en wekelijks in Rotterdam komt.
